Hi guys! I’ve posted this last February 4 on my wordpress blog (yes, I have many blogs right now hihi) and I want to share this with you because I find it inspiring. :) Please bear with me the dates and days that were written; I did not edit it and I just copied everything from my blog post on wordpress. It’s the message that counts right?:) So here it goes:

image

Last Saturday, February 1, I had a chance to attend the Saturday service at Feast Bicutan. It’s been a long time since I attended Feast so I just can’t contain my happiness last Saturday! It was the Big Day for the Feast Series, JUMP! I want to share with you what Bro. Velden Lim said on his preaching, “God is by your side reminding you: No matter what happens, don’t stop jumping! Don’t stop hoping!”

Problems will always be there, it is inevitable. There may be times when we want to give up, because we think that we cannot do anything about it or we’ve done everything we can and yet it is still not enough. When this type of thinking and feeling of hopelessness arise, all we need to do is let God take in charge. Indeed, we cannot control everything that is happening in our lives but God can do something about it; we just need to ask and to surrender to Him. And always keep in mind that God is bigger than any of our problems. :)

Also, I want to share the significant points that were tackled last Saturday and this are the following:

1. Be faithful in small things.

2. Face the giant. (Remember what your reasons are, it will be your motivation to keep going and to face the giant: your problems)

3. Face it as you are. (I jotted down some lines from Bro. Velden’s preaching: “Face it as who you are but be at your best”, “God does not call the equipped. He equips.”, and “Do not ask God for a sign. Give God a sign that you really want to face your giant; take the first step.“)

4. Don’t face it alone. (As what I said prior to these four points, ask for God’s help by praying. Cast all your burdens to God. Also, remember how God helped you before in times of need. Bro. Velden gave this example: God saved me from that financial problem when I thought I cannot enroll the money for my tuition came on time.)

I also want to share this video to you guys. I was able to watch this video again last Saturday and it never fails to bring me to tears.

Cilick this to watch the video on The Story of a Father’s Love

What are your thoughts on this? Comments are appreciated! :)

De La Salle Zobel Ballet presents: Sleeping Beauty
Monday April 7, 2014

Last April 4, we were invited by my auntie’s bestfriend to watch the pre-recital of her daughter, Sammie. Sammie is one of the fairy godmothers of Aurora.  Honestly, I love watching plays and ballet recitals. I’ve always been fond of the arts and I’m a frustrated ballet dancer. How I wish I can turn back time and nag my dad to take me to ballet classes. :( Can I still try it even though I’m already 18 years old? Hoping hihi. Anyways, this post will be filled with snapshots from the ballet performance. Enjoy! :)

My auntie and their moms are bestfriends since college. Isn’t it cute?:)

Hi guys! I’ve MIA for a long time already and since it’s summer break, I’m back! (Yaaayyy! *fireworks* lol,). I have visited my polyvore account earlier and I decided to make a new outfit so I’m sharing this set with you:

This outfit can be worn on a trip to the mall or a date with girl friends. Since the weather here in the Philippines is bipolar, I opted for a midrib top then when it’s getting a bit breezy, you can just wear the cardigan over the top. It’s effortless yet stylish and chic. :)

Need a man in your life?

Hi guys! Sorry I’ve been MIA for almost a month. I’ve been really busy with school and other activities. (Please pray for me. I’m running for the position of Internal Vice President in our organization, Junior Marketing Association. Thank you!<3)

As my comeback post, here’s something I want to share that I kept on overthinking last night. I was invited by one of the top e-commerce bloggers here in the Philippines to attend an E-commerce Summit but unfortunately, I I have a make up class scheduled on the same date so I have to turn the invite down. :( I shared this to a friend and she said that maybe it’s not meant to be. It’s actually double jeopardy and I decided to just go with the flow (as what we always we do haha). I asked her if she could find a man for me and she said, “Hindi mo naman kailangan ehh, focus na focus ka ehh hahaha” (You don’t need a man, you’re so focus hahaha). When she said so focus, she’s pertaining on my studies and other activities in life. Yes, it’s true that I’m so focus on those stuffs because my goal for this year is to make my dreams happen one step at a time. And if I decide to add another person (significant one) in my life, things might get out of hand because honestly, I’m having a hard time managing my time with everything at this moment and being committed in a relationship won’t just help. Yes, I admit that there are times when I think that maybe I should be open to “being in a relationship” and don’t be too hard on myself but I’m just not ready.

So to those people who can manage everything (school/work, family, friends, activities, and love life), I salute you! :) And for those people whose having the same situation as mine, don’t be sad! Maybe it’s not the right time for us and we should just focus on our dreams in life, our friends and family. Cherish the moment because it’s fun being single after all. We’ll get in to the relationship stage in the future:)

It’s already 2014 but I still have posts to be published. I’m so sorry for the delay but it’s better to be late than never right? :))

Last November 2013, our country was hit by the Super Typhoon Haiyan or a.k.a. Bagyong Yolanda. The island of Visayas was the most affected island because it is where the super typhoon landed. Thousands were discovered to be dead, houses and other infrastructures collapsed, there’s no electricity and lack of food supply. I can really say that we, Filipinos are really loved. We are showered by blessings given by other countries, and also by Filipinos who gathered together for one great cause. Even though our fellow Filipinos in Visayas experienced this kind of devastation, they are still optimistic in life that this is just a challenge; that this too shall pass. It is indeed evident that no calamities can destroy the Filipino spirit. Let’s all help rebuild Visayas. Bangon Pilipinas!

The shirt that I’m wearing is from Islands Souvenirs. It is a shop located in Cebu but you can still buy their merchandise online. Click here. There are also other designs to choose from. All the proceeds will go to the typhoon victims.

EVE OF HOPE
Saturday January 4, 2014

As what I’ve stated in my Year-end bucket list here, I want to visit an orphanage and/or home for the aged and guess what? I visited both! I’ve been worrying for about one month on how I can do this because: 1) No one will accompany and 2) I don’t know how to commute to Tagaytay and Cavite ALONE. But God is good! A college schoolmate of mine posted on our group a poster regarding Eve of Hope and she is looking for volunteers or people who want to donate something for the orphanage and home for the aged so I instantly messaged her and told her that I’d like to join them! Here are the photos last December 24:

With the people behind the Eve of Hope

All of them are in their mid 20s already and working but they still make time for this event. By just being with them for one day, I can say that these people are really kind-hearted and very willing to give and share their blessings to other people. They are all high school friends so can you just imagine how strong their friendship is? This is actually my ideal group of friends. :)

And as for my experience, it was truly heart warming by just seeing the smiles of the kids. They are really longing for love and care. The sisters there are taking good care of them but it’s still different to have someone be there for you and give their full attention to them. They also get easily attached which is why it’s so hard to bid them goodbye especially when some of the kids started crying. It’s so heart-breaking :( I hope all of them will be adopted so they won’t be sad when it’s time for the visitors to go.

And the greatest lesson that I’ve learned: Christmas is not about receiving gifts; it’s about giving. :) This is my most meaningful Christmas yet! I will definitely come back and spend more time with them :)

PS: We cannot post the photos publicly on our visit to Tahanan ni Maria, an home for the aged located in Cavite. If you want to visit, you can contact them here.

Year-end Food Trips: Chili’s
Monday December 30, 2013

My cousin and I had a Fridate last December 20 at Alabang Town Center. This is also an unplanned date and food trip so I really got excited! It’s also my first time to try Chili’s even though it’s been a while since they opened their ATC branch. I’m not really fond of fast foods or casual dining this year but Chili’s is worth the try. :)

Chili’s is the top competitor of McDonald’s in the USA (I’ve read it on a book when I was working on my written report) but Chili’s gives a casual dining vibe.

Appetizer: Texas Cheese Poppers 325php

image

THIS IS HEAVEN! I’ve never tasted any cheese poppers like this before! This one is too good!

image

Grilled Chicken Salad 450php

I love salads! Their Grilled Chicken Salad doesn’t taste like an ordinary salad because there’s a Mexican taste to this. The vinegar dressing also complements the Grilled Chicken. My cousin doesn’t like the dressing though.

image

Bacon Burger 410php

My cousin and I decided to share because we definitely cannot finish this! What I love about their bacon burger is that the burger patty is not greasy, there’s also enough amount of bacon and the overall taste is just right. One doesn’t overpower the other. And oh, I love their fries!

The Chili’s staff makes sure that we are enjoying our stay by asking us and checking us over. Also, once you completed their Guest Experience Survey, you will get a FREE CHEESE POPPERS (yes, you read it right!) when you purchase a minimum of 750php on your next visit (Read your receipt your ask the staff for more information).

I will definitely visit this again for a great casual dining experience! Have you tried Chili’s before? What was your experience? Share some thoughts! :)
